Need help with WW2 Black Watch cap badge

Good evening! I usually collect Soviet militaria so I am not familiar with British cap badges. Still I am interested in the Royal Highlanders since they liberated a large part of the area where I live. Therefor I want to add among others a Black Watch cap badge to my collection and now I came across this one and wonder if this is a genuine WW2 period badge?

    Thanks all for your help!!

    Marcel,
Yes indeed you found a nice example
The metal type and colour of lugs perfect, also I like the gold solder!

You need a pair of these : ))
    Kind regards Chay

Thanks a lot Chay! Your help is much appreciated!

I agree, those look great but even better on a battle dress. It's unfortunately an impossible task to find an original badged BD.

      All the best,
      Marcel

I've seen that BD a little while ago on the forum. Excellent find!! Those post WW2 BD are already rare and I think WW2 dated/used ones are almost impossible to find. However, that is what makes collecting so nice....you never give up the hunt for that one item. You only need one lucky day
