    Some Relative Canadian Items

    Hi guys,

I mentioned my Uncle in a past thread, but until today never really had much information on him. He passed away a few years ago, and just recently my family has been involved with the cleaning and stockpiling numberous items for sale.

As expected several items were uncovered when they began the cleanout. I will post several pictures below. Hopefully you find it interesting and maybe you can identify some of the items that I dont know much about. This would definitely apply to the uniform and patches as well as a few other items.

A brief synopsis of his life:

    1. Joined Canadian Army July 1941
    2. Basic Training in Camrose, Alberta, Canada
    3. To Camp Bordon (unsure where this is) for Tank Gunner Training
    4. Shipped to England in April 1942
    5. Posted to the BC Dragoons of the 5th Armoured Division (1 1/2 years training)
    6. Fall 1943 landed in North Africa
    7. Participated in Several Battles in Italy (saw action around Monte Cassino - saw US bomb the crap out of the Monastry)
    8. Got sick and after recovery was assigned to a Minelifting and Demolition Squad.
    9. Then went to France (Marseille)
    10. Then through Belgium and Holland
    11. Transferred to the 5th Hussar's 5th Division
    12. Was in Germany when the war ended
    13. Discharged from Army November 1945

These was taken off some of the notes that my Aunt had written down. Maybe some errors but these are the basics.
