    Guiness book of records ?

    Well ...
There's a new entry to be added to the Guiness book of records !

One of our number must have achieved a world record price for this specific item !!!!!
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=6528197737

It just shows how the "Airborne Market" (scuse the pun) is "taking off "(Scuse the 2nd pun !) to an even higher level.

Not only the seller is a good looking guy, just look at the last entry in the buyers feed back profile.

          SHEARING CROSS,

You are not the only one. I couldn't even get £85 for the last two ORIGINAL BADGED Battledress that I put on E-Bay. OK they were not Airborne, but I see so many dubious badged BDs going for big money. What's going on !!
(Is it that people buy from established names on E-Bay without questioning the items ?)
(And I don't mean Deadly Delta, I am impressed by his inisgnia )

The key to selling is to start low ,then potential buyers think they are onto a bargain ,then they do some homework get excited then they dont want to see it get away from them ,if you start at say £100 for a bd people will just bypass it thinking na Im not paying that much ..if you see what I mean .Rob.
God please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

HI THERE KEVAN , i know what you mean ,the arse has really fallen out of e,bay the last 18 months , a while back talk to any of the `old n, bold ` collectors about e,bay they would say `wow yearh , heard about that must get me self on line ,etc` now collectors who have never been near it think it s..t because they have heard what a bad reputation it has , as for BD,s my passion i would say any original war time bd even to a corps .even dental corps !! are worth £100.00 they are just not around like they were 5 years ago , speak to you again soon i hope ,regards ,Michael.

                Hi Michael,

Your bang on, Original Badged British BDs are very rare. We can thank the badge collectors for that And I agree ebay has been very bizarre the last year or so. As a seller I find it very difficult to get decent prices for anything i try to put on there unless its super rare. I have shot myself in the foot a few times by not putting reserves on stuff (Umm I got $25 for an almost mint 1941 dated RAAF sidecap recently ). On the other hand as a bidder, anything I am interested in always tends to go for huge amounts and I hardly win anything I suppose I shouldn’t grumble, they still haven’t banned British stuff on there, yet!

Thanks for the replies. The blouses I put on were a Royal Artillery Captain's BD with real 5 Inf Div arm shields plus a Royal Regiment of Canada Lt's BD, both 100% original and I started at £45 each !!

I have no idea what is going on
