Unfortunatley this is very difficult to almost impossible to say.

Not enough proven originals around and very very many copies that have been around for years and are now looking quite aged.

Some have said that if you look at the back end of the spike and see a hole it is a copy but I don't know how accurate that statement is as I don't know if the originals are formed from solid or tube stock for the spike.

Not a lot of help to you but may explain the lack of responses you have had.
