Jerkin?

I found such a vest
is this British leather jerkin. If so, from what times ww1 or ww2?

Looks like it might be a Belgian one...they tend to be a bit darker and shinier than the British ones.Is there no label / stamp on the inside?

I am not familiar with the stamp.....all the British ones I have had have had a khaki coloured wool lining.
Pretty sure someone on here will know exactly what this is.

It definitely does not look like a standard British jerkin from either war. The lining is too brown and smooth. As already mentioned, the inside of British versions is a greener khaki colour and a rougher material. The leather does look very shiny in places as well, especially the triangle reinforcement patches under the arms, so maybe it is Belgian. I don't recognise the stamp either.

It's a shame the buttons are missing as this could have been useful in trying to identify this.

BD is a post WW2 Dutch marking.
I use to see it on all the army surplus clothing.
The jerkin is not WW2 made. If it was a British made item it would have a cloth label or stitching were a label would have been, also a W^D mark.

BD is indeed Dutch and signifies Buiten Dienst, sold out of service.
