I thought it might be American but it could be British yet it has no MT or DR and looks longer ? any ideas thanks Rob

I believe the winged wheel is Dutch or German and maybe railway rather than military, but that's based on my fuzzy middle-aged memory, not a nameable source. Definitely not British.

Yes. Even motorcycle clubs seem to adopted this as a tattoo, jacket patch, etc. Attache is the equivalent WWII era Canadian badge, with 'DR' fior Despatch Rider'. Or 'MT' for Motor Transport.
