    ww2 canteen ?

Hello, is this canteen a ww2 model. The felt cover is missing; or is it possible there where used whitout ?.
    Thank you for your opinions.

It's hard to tell the colour from your photos, but generally WWI water bottles were blue and WWII canteens were green, though apparently the RAF had blue ones - lighter in shade than the WWI version.

I have several Canadian issue water bottles in my collection that are blue enamel with grey wool felt covers that are ink stamped on the bottom with maker marks (GSW - General Steel Wares) and dated during WW2. In my experience most water bottles even in WW2 were blue enamel.
