Leigh lets face it ,if its real its worth £5000+ .and belongs in a museum .The only downside I can see to buying it is you would have to go to Scotland to pick it up! Rob.
Yep, you're right - but going to Scotland would be cheaper than the paypal fee too - I think. It's the e-bay thing that puts me off. Going to Scotland's no treat either.
Too many questions with these, the guy selling them has'nt done himself any favours by his "I'm an inocent abroad" approach to these sales - it's certainly scared me off in the absence of hands on examination.
The Belgic has just gone for £2,500
About 6 months ago (may be a few months out there) one went at Bosleys for £8,500 - it had cords & plume (original?) & its makers label, but the "standard" GR plate rather than a regimental one such as the one that's just gone through e-bay.
If this thing's genuine then it was well worth £2,500.
These helmets are reproduced for re-enactors & I don't know enough about them to risk my dosh on the strength of Mr. I don't know my a*s from my elbow's ditherings & a couple of crappy little photos.
I hope someone got a good genuine buy there.
One down, one to go.
Now I've just got to hold out & not bid on the mitre.
Hi Leigh I know how you feel ,phew glad its all over .The condition of that mitre was phenominal to say the least .I hope its genuine for the buyers sake.Rob.
God please take justin bieber and gave us dio back
