    Kkrc Bakelite Cap Badge

I recently bought a job lot of bakelite cap badges from Canada on Ebay (Essex, RASC and Middlesex) and a fourth a KRRC which I already had one of. They were a little dear but all in good nick with both brass tangs. Any idea how many KRRC were made and how rare they are?
    Thanks

I've always judged them as one of the more readily available plastic economy badges on the market.

    78,920 made, all by H.P., contract dates 28/10/43 - 5/9/45.

I've got one of these with it's nice stamped out red backing - & the other day discovered that a moths taken a chunk out of it.

That's about the same number as Army Air Corps, over twice as many as the RA gun pattern, about 2/3rds the number of Para Regt.
Often seems that numbers produced don't tie in with current availability & prices.....

That is odd that they are the same no as the AAC as the AAC badges are really pricey. I saw a dealer with one for £60 last week! possibly this is the Glider Pilot Regt/ Airborne connotations of the DDay anniversary pushing the prices up?
