Officer's 1 Cdn Para Corps badge

This is a new purchase of a friend of mine. What does everyone think? I have only seen these with screw post fasteners, but this is definately the real thing.

From the photos it looks like the construction is correct for the original patterns. These are quite solid, heavy badges (and quite attractive IMO). There are excellent copies about and I would want to thoroughly inspect it in hand if I was purchasing it, but from what I can see it does appear to be an original. It is difficult to reproduce the fire gilding of these badges and often the finish is an excellent indication to determine originality.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Since we are on the topic, does anyone know of any high quality brown plastic reproduction cap badges for 1 Cdn Para Corps? The only one's that I have seen have been quite easy to distinquish from the real thing.

All the ones I've seen have been poor quality. Originals are always very crisp, highly detailed and hardly ever distorted - quite odd for a plastic cap badge.
