British Amry Side Cap Given To me

    Hello Guy,

I am new entering the forum, well i have just been given a British Amry Side cap from my unlce. My uncle was in D-day "Normany" and he was in Juno, he was a private i dont undstand why he was with the Canadian Amry when was in came from England and was born their. I need to ask him, well the cap has been all the way with him in the war. On d-day he was captured and send to the following camps

    - Stalag 4B
    - Stalag 12A

He was in the royal berkshire regiment

Hope you can share some questions and to me a little brief in the hat itself.

    Best Regards

    Jon.

Hi Jon, a nice coloured field service cap and made all the nicer by knowing that it belonged to a relative of yours.

The fact that your Uncle landed on Juno Beach was not unusual; the beach was not exclusively "Canadian".

      Cheers, Ade.
