Hi Leigh,

RP/E stands for Repair Party / Electricity.

These were teams that worked after raids to restore power.
There is also,RP/W(water),RP/G(gas) and RP/R(roads).

You're collection is growing and growing I know you have a couple of other interesting gas mask's too

The RP/E helmet must be as rare as rocking horse poo ! More rare than most German helmets, yet theres not as much of a world wide market demand.......if there was (as there should be in all honesty) you'd pay hundreds for that helmet.

Thankfully the likes of collectors like you Andy keep the British heritage alive, please continue collecting British history.
