    Camouflage MkII Helmet

I just acquired this Australian WW2 helmet in a large grouping of miscellaneous helmets; it’s an attractive camo scheme but I would like to see what others think of it.

In-hand it has lots of wear and the paint is evidently old.

    Enjoy and best regards,
    Finn

it does certainly look to have some age to it, whats the inside like, I think you have a good helmet. I am not up on the service life of Aussie helmets, so there is that to think about with when the camo was applied.

Thanks John - here’s the inside, pretty rusted.

Just curious...what's your opinion about the missing/torn-out leather liner?
Is that period done for a more confortable use or what else?
                Very nice helmet though

I like the outside more than the inside. Paint on the inner rim seems thinner than the same colour paint on the outside and looks to have been painted over rust but why anyone would do that I don't know so most likely its just one of those things that is of no significance. Very attractive camo on the outside though!

Agree a very nice camo MKII (III) australian helmet.
