    Helmet Royal Regiment of Canada

Finally I've found an early 1940 dated British manufactured helmet with double flash of the Royal Regiment of Canada. As many of you will know this is an early type regiment flash used during the Dieppe Raid in 1942.

There is a name written inside the helmet, J.P. Parrish, looking for additional information about the soldier. Thanks for your help.

Whoever he was, he survived the war. A 'John Parrish' died in 1944 with the PPCLI in Italy but was only 19, so too young for Dieppe, I think.

That must be another John Parrish. I received an email from the Royal regt of Canada museum that he survived the war. And was POW till March 1945.

Thanks. Yes indeed it's really nice helmet. I've found two pictures of the soldier what makes the story more complete.
Picture was taken by the Germans.
