Ie In the RCAF but not part of the RACF if that makes any sense.
By the way the 'Canada' flash was a reconigtion the HIM George VI was king of Canada (not just a way to tell uniforms appart) and was granted by royal pattent hence the two differnt flashes.

As this chap was a corporal I would think he was one of the many techs that stayed in the RCAF after 42 wihle most of the air-crew where repatriated.Comment
