            Polish badges

Both the Polish badges are more than likely sweet-heart pins handcrafted out of spare metal by a Polish soldier/para.

Normally, items like these are made of poor quality silver.
I have seen items before which were fashioned out of silver coins of the day, which of course were a ready source of low grade silver prior to 1947.
..For the eagle, you might find it was cast from a couple of coins ??

[ Hiya ,was hoping you could help !!
the parachute badge i think could well be a sweet heart badge it looks too big and clumpy to be a collar, the rear fixing is long and i dont think it would have sat right on the collar tip ?
the wings are infact hallmarked and do appear to have silver content ,
thank you ( again !! ) for your help ,regards ,Michael.

                Both Items

                Michael,
Both items are definitely not official issue.

The parachute is based on the 2nd pattern collar patch .... the original metal "paratrooper" was fixed by two "bend once" lugs.

The Eagle, being hallmarked, most probably is a jeweller style copy, although the style of this eagle is not the same as the official badge.
What city is the assay mark too ??? (I suspect Birmingham - the anchor)

What size is the parachute badge?

I have similar with a (shortened) bolt fitting), a locally made collar dog in aluminium by the looks of it.

[Hiya Leigh , the parachute badge is 30mm in height the rear fixing has a length of threaded bar /bolt solded on with a quare shaped nut , the threaded bar is very crudely fixed on ,dont know if this is the original design or a `work shop `repair ? will try to put a picture up of the back ,thanks ,Michael.

There are two marks close together ,just visible on the tail of the bird on the rear photo ,
one looks like either a crown or a castle ? the other diamond shape one has looking from left to right what looks like the letter `j` then a bunch of grapes then some thing else ,sorry no sod all about hallmarks , unless the j is supposed to be an anchor as you say ? it does not look to be a poor stamping there is no top loop or cross bar to the j to make it look like an anchor ?/

                      regards Michael

                        Crown

Crown is the London assay mark.
..The J is the date letter, ... but I can't find my hallmark book at the moment.
