Very unusual attachment system.

It doesn't appear British to me, nor French.

For me that leaves some N. African source (although they typically modeled french fabrication) or somewhere on the continent outside of France...

I like it, but again, non-official.

Take notice of the Lorraine Cross engraved in the center of the parachute canopy. The Cross of Lorraine appears in the symbolic of

• Free France
• Hungary
• Slovakia
• Lithuania

It’s very unlikely that any North-African country would use a Christian symbol on their badges.
