    Mystery Helmet

Can anybody help me determine the nation and unit of this helmet?
There was a name on the chinstrap, Sgt. Michael McDonald or something.

What would a realistic value be, $160 or $50?

I got it from some vendor at a gunshow, he just gave it to me even through I didnt ask for it.

Thanks, now I finally know what it is.

          PS
I think this helmet has been used in battle, there seems to be blood stained onto the metal.
Can you guys link me onto any pages so I could do more research?

            Hello,

No mystery, Its Irish and the Decal is for Western Command. Used in battle with blood stains? Sgt McDonald must have tripped and fallen on his face during the barracks fire drill
