    1938 Life Guardtunic

    Hello,
I got this tunic recently in a lot of things and I would like if it has interest as collectable. I have been searching for other related items and found nothing related, neither vintage or modern, not anything complement to complete a display with this nice tunic.
It could be to track the career of this guardsman with name Bell given his service number? thank you

Looks like a nice trooper's tunic. Do the buttons have a King's Crown?
Ebay UK usually has quite a bit of Household Cavalry items, but most from the ERII period, which would not be correct for a properly badged pre-war tunic.
A nice white belt , with a proper buckle would look good, along with the white shoulder belt & pouch. They should not be too expensive.
Headgear is another story. It would be very difficult to find an other ranks peaked cap from the pre-war period, while a modern cap is found easily,
A full dress helmet is likely $1,000 or more, probably close to $ 2,000 if you add the cuirass.
If this is actually an older tunic, rebuttoned for ERII, it will be much easier & cheaper to add items.

      Hi Bob,
Many thanks for your acknowledge and advice.
These are the buttoms. Looks old and consistent with the tunic

Buttons are King's Crown, so correct with 1938 dated tunic. Nice early one; can't be too many left, I would think.
