Unknown British insignia maybe RAF

Does anybody recognize this Insignia.

Does not look English in my opinion.
The central device is an orb. A globe surmounted by a cross, forming part of the regalia of a monarch.

On what Uniform is it mounted. Show it completely.

Netherlands War Department and in that colour possibly Navy or Air Force.

Thank you very much.Its on a Dutch Airforce uniform from the late 40 or early 50ties
The pilot flew in the second world war in England and after the war he was a flight instructor/Liaison officer for the Dutch Airforce in the U.S.A.Which explain the Netherlands war department
As i never saw a insignia like this i was guessing it was British.
Any opinion on the RAF wing.Is this from ww2. Looks to be made handmade.
