That is just a cheap printed celebration flag. Certainly not military issue & not very good quality either. It could date from anywhere between about 1900 to 1970.

Impossible to say any more.

Hi Bruno
British Union flags are difficult to date.

I have one with a straw type rope which was my Grandfathers from that period.

Many people look for the shadow lines going throughout the flag around 4-6 inches apart and conclude that they’re WW2 vintage.

They come up on eBay all the time

Saying that though and having another look it does look like vegetable dye which was commonly used during the WW2 period.

I have a wartime vintage Union flag, also a RAF flag same and a 1913 dated British naval ensign. All have the strengthening lines running through them.
