    Scotts Rifles Glengarry Hat Question

I am hoping that eomeone can give me the era on this well worn hat. I would also appreciate a fair value as it is something I will be selling.

    Thank you,

For me, at least, hard to estimate age since the regiment's badge had no crown. The Cameronians chose disbandment over amalgamation in 1968, so it's at least that old.

Because the sweatband is not leather, the oldest it could be is late-WW1 era.... beyond that I cannot tell you more.

Thank you. It came with a lot of British WW1 uniform items.

Any idea of a fair price to both buyer and seller?

I am sorry to say not a lot , ripped on top not the original badge , civillians used these and still do on Marching band days in New York . I dont like giving prices because someone will always say " lowball " but I would guess 20 quid or $25 Rob

these are hard to date but as already stated post WWI, but looks probably post WWII IMO. They don't attract big bucks unless WWI or earlier.

I sold all the ones I had for 55 Euros ea. fitted with the late Anodised Badges with Hackle. (maybe to add, incl. VAT)
So your's it the earlier Version.
20 to 25 is a bit low for this one imo.
