British North Africa Desert 1943 Sand shoes help

    Hi,
Could anyone give me an approx. value on these British sand shoes. I would like to sell them on E-stand but this item is way out of my collecting knowledge. They are a matching pair with identical maker and date ink stamps. J & A. H. 1943 and then a broadarrow symbol. One has remnants of what appears to be quartermaster stamps. They appear to be complete with one a little more faded than the other. They would make a nice display.
    Thanks in advance, Mitch

Hi Mitch, desert sand shoes??? I have never heard of such an item? I think you will find these are from the other climatic extreme and are snow shoes.

Very hard to value as these do not come up for sale very often and I suspect demand for them might be low? I would guess at a "value" of around £30/$60.

      Cheers, Ade.

        Ade,
Sorry I was gone and didn't get back to here to answer. I assure you they are not for snow. I live where you wear snowshoes, in fact our area just got up to 20 inches of snow today. More than half a meter. See, they must be so rare , even you didn't here of them. The construction is not like any snowshoe and 2 old longtime collectors told me what they were for, so I think we need to dig a little deeper.
        Regards, Mitch
