Flight Squadron Pre-War RAF Mess Dress Tunic

Hi all I have acquired this beautiful Burberry made tunic and was looking to possibly sell it but wanted a fair market price. It looks like it is possibly named but almost impossible to read.

    Thanks for any help!

That's a nice wing commander's full-dress tunic, introduced 1921 and phased out in 1939. King George VI didn't like it, especially the busby, and was never seen again after the war.

I have one at Air Vice Marshal rank which I think cost me around Aus$500 close to 25 years ago. Our dollar was only buying about 45 Brit pence at that time and I thought it quite expensive.

In the late 1930s the RAAF adopted the same pattern but in our unique dark blue. Of course, not many were made and are extremely rare.

Here's the busby in case you haven't seen one.

A very appealing uniform, though it does not fit into my collecting interests.

The bullion eagle is perhaps the best I have ever seen.
