Tommy helmet maker?

Hoping someone can help with this Tommy helmet I picked up today? The liner says Vero 1940 but I can only find a faint number 2 stamped into the shell? I cannot seem to find a maker that just stamped 2?

I have attached a couple or pictures



Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

The liner is: Vero 2 = Everett.W.Vero & Co London and is manifactured between 1937 and 1944

No idea about the 2 on the shell. Maybe it is from 1942 and are the other markings not very legible.

The date is just to the right of the 2. 1 over __ under that line will be the date, but very hard to read. BMB were very good at putting the chin strap lug over the BMB.
