Brittish para or dispatch riders helmet?

Could someone help me out here, is this a brittish para or a brittish dispatch rider helmet?
And also, what is the value, as it got a medic cross and some other insignia on it.
    Best regards:

    Lasse,

I'd say it is a DR helmet.
There is a bit of confusion as there is a wellknown picture of a soldier taken during Market garden wearing this helmet (amoung airborne soldiers unloading a wicker pannier). He is identified as a DR attached to the 1st airborne division, his name can be found on Mark Hickman's website.

It is DR helmet. Note the rivets used to hold the liner.

I don't like the red cross btw, it's a very sloppy job. There's even red paint on the chinstrap.

What is a medical DR anyway?

          Hi !
          Very carelessly paint red cross.
          Paint in hurry.
The square white and blue, then the colours of signals.
Maybe number 413 something will explain ?
          Greetings
          Robert

Ah thank you for your answers.
Hmmm, about the medics cross, what do you think is a good price for this helmet?

              Hi Lasse,

A near mint DR helmet without decals is about 50Euro, I seriously doubt the red cross adds to the value of this one.

I cannot find a serial code "413" listed in my reference books. But many of these have never been recorded so there are many gaps in the records.

                Cheers, Ade.

I like the number "413" - my recently dearly departed collar number - we were together for 25 years. That number attracted more trouble & grief than any other combination I would imagine.

Do you want to sell it?
