Australian bayonet/machete?

Got this one as part of a old bayonet collection and have not seen one before.
any info would be appreciated.
I presume its Australian as the grip says Slaz

You are right it is an Australian item.

Look like a good one as the numbers match the range for the second lot.

Nice find but be warned fakes/remakes abound for this item and many of the later mkIIs where conveted back to the more exensive MkI by simply swaping out
the plasict grip with an old 07 grip.

According to the book I hve handy the Mk I where sold as suplus after the war and a lage numbers made thier way to dealers in the states.
