British Webbing strap for what???

I bought these two straps on a militaria show here in Norway because nobody could give me an answer for what they are made for. They are 110 cm long and on one side it has the normal brass Gunstrap clasp but on the other side it has just a regular buckle. Anybody here who could hjelp me solve this mystery?

I think from memory they are Italian rifle slings.

If British, wouldn't they be khaki colored? I'm no expert by any means but I've never seen that color on any British webbing before.
