This must be an early WW1 or pre WW2 badge looking at the way it is made? I am comparing it with many that I have and it does not look the same?

It looks a lot like what Canadian Air Cadets wear now when they've earned the rank of 'LAC' - leading Air Cadet. Which might account for the manufacture? Not sure where the cadets get their emblems made anymore.

I think that you may be right and it is Canadian but I Still think that it is WW2 period as the construction is not modern material and does not glow under uv light. I have taken a photo of it next to some LAC badges that I have from WW2. Thank you for all your help with this. Nigel

Nah post war I had loads and I couldn't shift them had to sprinkle them in with other stuff just to get rid of them . Rib
