Right helmet, right place?

For an recostruction I would made about the german paratroopers in North Arica, I need to know if the helmet this guy holds in hands is right for that place and that time.

That model could have been on the head of Tommy in North African campaign?

As long as it's an Mk1* or early dated Mk2, but not with that net though.It would be an hessian cover or early war woven net.

So the lid would be ok but not its net, right? If I take a picture without the net could work?

As long as the helmet is dated early, 38-40 and in it's original khaki green, should be fine.
