British Flight Training Program wing

hello,

I am interested in pilot training and civilian instructor wings from the US and RAF/RCAF. I have a question about this wing, if anyone could help.

It is an instructor wing that was worn by an American training RAF/RCAF cadents in the US during WW2. There were 6 BFTS schools, but I have not been able to ID which school wore this wing. Any help?

Also, I am looking for other instructor wings of the BFTS or EFTS, including photos.

BFTS No1 instructor and wing

Here is a photo of an American pilot instructor at BFTS No.1 that was located in Terrell, Texas. The wing was made in 2 variants, one with a 5 pointed star and the other with a 6 pointed star. They seemed to wear one on the hat and one on the breast, but it wasn't uniform. I have a year book from this school, and about 1/2 wear the wings one way, the other half, the other.

I would try contacting the BFTS #1 museum in Terrell, Texas and get a contact email for a veteran or the archivist so you can email the image to them. Hopefully they can help you out.
