Lot of British and Scottish Shoulder Flashes and Hat Badges

Hi Everyone,

I got this lot a few weeks ago. Some of the insignia is period and some is post war. I also got a Black Watch Tam or Balmoral with it, it has the tartan behind the badge.

Ok I know there was a DM, MT, DR and MC driver wings but what did the BC stand for in that wing??

As well cound not find out what RL stands for? My guess is Range Layer perhaps one of the obscure Search Light badges??

Your RL in wreath, is in fact RI in wreath for Recruit Instructor (this has recently been officially authorised) not your version a smaller one. The Decontamination shoulder designations are Civil Defence. The rats and the camels are fakes, and the Scottish one is also suspect.

Thanks eveyone, I knew the camels and desert rats were no good but threw them in as everything case together. There were probably a couple of hundred pieces of insignia in the box I went through. I just bought a sampling.
