Helmet flash - any ideas ?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but does anyone recognise this flash as seen on a MKII helmet ? I have been unable to identify it myself.

    Many thanks

No, but you got me thinking.
I just measured the flash and it is 1.25 inches - the same as many Canadian helmet flashes.

So, I think I have it - No 5 Provost Company - part of the Canadian 5th Armoured Div who served in Sicily and Italy in WW2. The helmet is a Briitish MKII, not Canadian .

Can any of our Canadian collectors confirm that British helmets were used ?

      Thanks

Steve, search Deippe the helmets from the raid, although I couldn't get any pictures up, it mentioned British helmet with Canadian flashes. How long they did this I don't know, but it's a start.

I have two british helmets used by Canadians 100% was done, both named and numbered

You could be correct with Provost, the early RCA flash from what I have seen are longer and later ones this size and no.
