Is it original?
Opinions about the cab badge - from WW2 period or postwar?

Both cap and badge are, in my opinion, original WW2.

Looks good to me as well. General Service buttons, badge of Queen's Royal Regiment ( West Surrey).

All looks good, certainly one looker on the cap, I have 39 and 43 dated examples by Collet. The 39 has a circular makers mark so obviously they changed the mark sometime before 42.
