    British Para helmet opinions

Hello, any opinions on this British Para helmet would be most appreciated. Do you think the Camo netting and paint are post war? Is this a good one?
    Many thanks, John H.

It looks to have it's original paint, not sure about the tactical markings as I am not up on those. But if they are wartime then you have a really nice Mk1 HSAT.
It shows signs of having a net on, but wether this net is original to it, maybe not, scrim looks to new.

Would an original set of tactical flashes have been red on one side and green on the other? Looks a bit like a ship's lights to me.

I have been considering this one too. Some areas that trouble me are:
                        - No clear manufacturingmarkers on liner sweatband. Just the numbers. Should at least be some remnants of a BMB or other. There might be though its not stated.
                        - Unclear pictures at best.
                        - Chinstrap looks a bit crude, especially the small loop on the cup.
                        - paint looks post war.
                        - Strange burn-damage on the paddings..looks like burned rubber.

                          Para helmet

This one kinda troubles me too,
                          1) helmet paint maybe post war
                          2) the unit markings on helmet sides
                          3) unclear date and maker
                          4) camo scrim looks way to new maybe netting is not good to?

                          Anyone else please,

                          Thanks John

The pics are bad, but IMO the paint on the helmet is wartime. The scrim is postwar. The painted insiginia are IMO postwar as well.
Isn't there a BMB mark under the soldiers number?

I thought there were only two versions of padding for the liners. The early yellow and the later black. This has some sort of compressed hair-fabric with deteriorated black layer on top...
