Opinions on Parachutist Badge with blue backing

I need some opinions on this Parachutist Badge, I have been told that it looks like the type worn by SOE's Force 136 in East Asia.

Certainly an unusual set of wings unlike any I've seen.

Do you have any history behind the wing?

I am most likely wrong here, but were they not issued to RAF personnel who had qualified at Jump School ? They were none Airborne... ?

Hello Dan, yes the wings are of a type worn by SOE parachutists.

A fine pair of Wings Dan. They could have been worn by someone serving in SOE, however just as likely a regular trained Parachutist. As with all such things, history-provenance can make a huge difference. Regards, Clive.
