need info on 2" mortar bomb

A friend has one that he wants to sell that I want to buy. It is absolutely complete except for the explosives and the propellant charge. Condition is exceptional what is a fair market price?

Yes check the date first. 1950 ies 2" mortar bombs go like €20/ each

Hmm Red ring, green ring means HE (High Explosive), still has the safety pin and not black.

Check the weight it it is over 700g it may not be inert.

The real danger is not the TNT inside it is the ignitor in the fuse which becomes very unstable.

I too was going to enquire whether you were quite certain that it is inert. My experience with explosives - mostly TNT and a few very old fuses/detonators suggests exactly what Byterock said!

That is an excellent example (check it to make sure it is inert!!!)
Assuming it is, then it's in the £75 - £100 range in my opinion.
