Good british WW2 Toggle Rope ?

I took in a toggle rope recently.
Something disrupts me, the presence of green paint on the wooden part...
The good Toggle rope that I know the wood is raw and not painted in green as here.

Overall length: approx. 203 cm
Rope diameter: 1,5 cm

Is she good British WW2 for you?

Just curious. Is there a cast-iron means of telling the age of a toggle-rope ? I know lots of them were made post-war. I have seen some with dates, but they were all fakes.
