RAF Fighter Pilots during Battle of Britain with flare guns?

Hello Gentlemen, I have a question:

the fighter pilots RAF during the Battle of Britain, wore flare guns in their personal flying equipment? ? If yes, which holsters used, web or leather? And which cartridges? Cartridges carried in metal tin or web pouch? There are photos of BoB period where can see it?

    Thanks in advance, Daniele.

    Hello Daniele,

RAF fighter pilots carried the standard RAF Very Pistol and they usually carried them tucked into their flying boots as the RAF had no dedicated holster for them for fighter pilot usage.
