    Is this a commando knife?

A lady wants to sell this knife. Her mother carried it for years in her purse, and this lady who wants to sell it is in her 70's. I know, buy the object not the story. Anyway, she sent some pictures on a phone. Before I go look at it, what do you guys think it is and what is an aprox. value. Thanks in advance for any help you may give.

It seems to be a nice F&S knife the only issue with this specimen is the post-war export stamp (England) on the leather sheath which makes it less desirable so $400 dollor is over the top,....i would say $200 USD

They can be bought for far less than that, I bought one myself a couple of years ago for less than $150
They turn up on ebay quite often

Its a clean un tipped example, I would offer her $150

Indeed Totenhead i think you can find these third pattern F&S knives for less especially if they have a export stamp which this one has,.....i'm not really fond of examples which has a export stamp but that's my humble opinion,....for me it's ruiend But from the seller point of view he must be happy if he gets $200 USD max

Were the import marks always on the scabbard? I have one stamped enland on the cross guard but not scabbard.
