Gentlemen. I have recently acquired a first pattern Denison Smock which bears stamps I have never seen before. I wonder anyone can identify them?
One is a circular stamp showing the following letters: R.P.D / R.S. R. CLO and one more letter below which I can't make out but which may be an S.
It has been speculated this may stand for Regimental Procurement Department, Royal Sussex Regiment, Clothing, Stores.
This is pure speculation!
The other stamp is a clear S.
