WW1 belt/buckle and badges

5th MR etc is presumably 5th Mounted Rifles.

Did'nt notice the NZ on the cyclists nadge, I wonder if they're like the Brits - produced with differing numbers of spokes.

The lion & unicorn job is general service.

The lion badge is the Kings Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster), it's currency as a design is about the same as the majority of the others give or take literally a year or two.

There's nothing obvious from the photos to say whether any of them were actually produced circa 1900 or circa 1950, the designs did'nt change over that period.

Nice belt and badges. The NZ Cyclist Corps one is a fairly rare cap badge here in NZ (goes for approx NZ$80+ ). The corps had quite a short history. Cyclist Corps formed 5 April 1915, embarked from Wellington, NZ 6 May 1916 and was disbanded in England in May 1919.

The 5th Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars) is also a nice badge. They and the 7th (Southland) MR were the only mounted NZ troops serving in France between 1916-1919. They were almalgamated with the 7th and 12th in 1921. That cap badge sells around the NZ$40+ mark.
