Mk.IV (?) Police helmet , unit requested

Hi, mates !

Received this, british, Mk.IV (?) helmet.
Not sure, it´s an Mk.III actually ? ...

Anyway, I´m interested, in which organisation of the Police such blue -painted helmet´s were issued, and, when !
I really don´t think, in the UN.

Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a 1950s British MKIII to me

No, it's a Mk4, easily detectable by the "Lift the Dot" Liner retention system.
Mk3's should have the Screw fixing.

You´ve wrote to me, you saw such helmet only on one, single, site, (not existing anymore), before ...

Police , riot control, demos etc, not used today and might well be the type that could be found in Ireland etc, no too sure it would be specific to military thou.
p.s. most ive found are iin this condition.

They were part of the inventory on handover/takeover of police vehicles into the 1980's - 90's (in Cambridgeshire anyway).
