    canadians:1918

I got this spiffing picture at a show on Sunday.
Taken in 1918, a number of the men wear the 1914-15 star ribbon and maybe the war medal-but no victory medals. Note the difference in cap badges and cap styles and the veteran medic in the front:

    old scanners...

don't do justice to the clarity of the picture.
I know that the 1914-1915 star was authorized in early 1918 as I've read accounts of troops who were killed on November 11, 1918 wearing the ribbon. Does anybody know exactly when it was instituted? Whe was the GWM instituted-early 1919 or at the same time as the victory medal?

Anybody hazard a guess at what the last medal of the medic's ribbon bar is?

Very Nice Jeff, Most interesting thing for me is the red cross badges. Looks to be the exact same type as the one I have on my Canadian WW2 Stretcher Bearers Battldress. Thanks for posting!
