Need help identifing this lamp

Hi
I bought this lamp and have no idea as to what it is. It appears to be a signalling lamp as it has to slides( Red and green) which cover the lense. The switch on top also clicks down but doesnt hold, and so maybe it is clicked to flick the lamp on and then off again. There is a leather strap on the back and a small clip to open it at the side. on the back it reads 'D B ltd , L E No4'. It also appears to be dark olive drab painted. If anyone knows what it is and when it datres from that would be a great help. please use the link below to view the images.

Hi Rob, what you have is "Lamp, Electric, No.4". These are inspired from German flashlights of the period.

The lamp have a red and green filter , do you know utility ?
The electric lamp this is a flaslight ?....do you know utiliy exactly ?
