    LRDG badge

I think this is a very rare insignia. I know there exist copys of this. Is this an original one..?

IMO a fake one that has been aged up. Always be careful of ones with the outer raised rim and pebbled between the two rims.

    Thanks, from Jack.

Hi Luc, Jack is spot on This one has been sanded down and blackened as these copies are very shiney brass when new.

I know all about these, as I have one myself which I bought for £1.50 trade price and I used some gun blue on it and used it for a re-enactment display.

      Cheers, Ade.

IMO The only way you can be sure of a genuine one of these is it you get it off the vet yourself.Rob.

How many guys served in the LRDG anyway? A few hundred? Must be one of the scarcest badges of the war. And I agree with Rob, I would probably only trust one direct from a vet.
