help with group captain visor

found this today which would go nicely with a named jacket I have so hopefully its a good original cap all help is greatly appreciated

Interior shots would be helpful, but it's likely a good cap. It is missing the side buttons & chinstrap, of course.
Just an opinion, but given the shape, I am thinking it is more likely a postwar cap; late 40's, early 50's.

Yikes, I missed the extra row of gold braid. Getting sloppy in my old age.

The badge is the wrong type for the Air ranks, it should be surrounded by braid, try a google search for air marshal and look at images
