Opinions on British BMB Para helmet

I was looking at the following helmet

Looks fine, rought texture, etc... but I'm far from an expert. What do you think ?

I'm not sure the date was 1943 ...but 1953 with a bump right on the 5 ?

It's an 1953 HSAT made to deceive with the 5 scratched out.

Obvious pimped up post war version being sold by a well known faker who has started selling under a different username.

The layout of the makers mark and date is incorrect for war time versions, the seller is a crook, who recently sold a date altered post war Para beret and a MKII Tommy with fake added commando flash, you have been warned.

E-bay is full of crooks selling pimped-up British and Commonwealth exotica . This seller know full well what he is selling.

Indeed as he exhibits all the traits of the other well known faker from that part of the UK including blue backgrounds for his pics and pimped up date altered items, unless there are two such fakers in that area?

Certainly the para beret he sold last week was date altered from a post war example, I linked to it on the airborne forum.

The date has been scratched out and he states it is war time in his opinion or whatever, therefore hard to prove fakery as he will just say he got it wrong!
