MKII Bayonet Frog

Picked this up in a mix of US insignias, 1930-present. Can anyone narrow down the era? Is it British, Canadian? Has a pebbled button and no markings. Thanks!

It is a South African Pattern 1970 Web Equipment Belt frog. The stud clips onto a separate belt which also has studs for attaching pouches, holsters, waterbottle carriers etc.
They can be fastened in any given configuration.
Frog is for the FAL rifle bayonet.
