    New Zealand WW1 Artillery portrait

New Zealand WW1 Artillery portrait, taken in the UK by Burton & Garland Ltd (Blackburn & Blackpool locations).
The lady with the white blouse is probably his sister, they look alike (same nose) so she visited from their native New Zealand....
The other might be a British woman? Unless they both came to visit the UK from NZ...Who knows?
but I believe that it is rare to see a soldier flanked by 2 woman in that era in such a formal pose...Probably relatives!

    Close ups.
Note artillery badge on NZ "lemon squeezer" hat and his collar insignia.
Artillery, mounted troops, ammo bandoleer also shown...and of course spurs!

If you look closer you will see that the collar badges are the later pattern with a lower scroll and different flames.

True, not exact twins, I noticed that also...so representative pieces of insignia for NZ Artillery Corps in WW1.
Of course multiple insignia sets would have been owned/worn...Nevertheless makes for a nice WW1 display as presented I feel.
